I LUV buying it…Drinking it…Drinking it with friends…notice how there is no sharing mentioned…
RED WINE is a passion of mine…not the ‘knowing about’ or the ‘who made’ it but the DRINKING of it…the TASTING of it…I LUV IT..

I have been asked to comment on a certain wine topic many times, but have never actually written about it…until now.
I feel now…is the time just to say it….

What prompted this post…It was just announced that Guy Fieri, you know him from Food Networks, Diner Drive In’s and Dives. Has announced that he has bought a winery and is going to make wine.

I originally read about it in a post from a woman by the name of Jeni ( said in my best Forest Gump Voice)…who goes by Highly Irritable…Well fitted name…At first I thought her post was actually going to be about his wine, then I quickly realized it was nothing but a Guy Fieri bashing rant…I think Highly Irritable has some unresolved Guy luv issues she needs to work out…The post itself barely mentions his wine, but calls all of us who watch his shoe Douche’s…OK THEN…I’M A DOUCHE…cus on a week night when there is bupkiss on TV…Food Network is my saviour and a little Triple D is damn entertaining.

The point of all this is that celebrities think by adding their name to things, consumers will do nothing but them buy them and LOVE them and that can be a very true statement..most of the time we will…Ask anyone who was a teen in the 90′s and they will tell you that it was Air Jordan’s or Nothing!!
However wine drinkers are not as gullable…We buy it for the taste and the taste only…So if your product tastes like ASS it doesn’t matter whose face or name is on it…
So my open letter to celebrity wine makers…Oh fawk the open let’s name names…

Could not agree with you more Dee! Celeb wines do taste like ass. And Triple D is awesome, it’s a fav in our house and we have visited a number of his features spots, it is fun!!!
I agree. I had Dan Akroyds’ red wine and it tastes like stale shit…. not that I know what stale shit tastes like, but am certain its’ got to be close. Putrid.
I hear you, their wine taste awful..it’s a sin to waste those precious grapes!!
Though I agree with you about Celebrity Wine usually being a horror show of oenological proportions. They do sell, like really really well. You give wine drinks way too much credit.
